an encounter

her arms restless
painted with Henna
i could smell the colours
with my eyes
her eyes brown, big
in the company of home-made Kajal
like the night sky outlines the moon
we were diving deep, slowly
we will let the flower bloom
her flame is getting sharper
as i walk towards her
her smile making me
dissolve in her abundance
like ice in water
warmness i abide
a look at her
and i was lost
my past disappeared
like a flame that burns out
with a gentle wind
into
a line of smoke and darkness
i never knew a saree could look so beautiful
until i saw her
a sky of dahlias
i felt the reverberations
from within
synchronising with her time
my eyes glued on her
people around me disappeared
i found my destiny
after a lifetime of wait and search
