A Glass Ceiling

How important you

must be that you

don’t have to open

your own door.

When you walk

in a room people

dare not look, instead

they stare at the floor.

It’s a complete fantasy

to think that we

are all born equal

you might as well say

that Hitler wasn’t evil.

The majority struggle

and work every hour

while the minority

lie back and

delegate the power.

We are taught that

our reward is

waiting in the next life

so we must put up with

the inequality in

this one that is rife.

A glass ceiling that

we will never shatter,

keeps us from the controls

that really matter.
