The Concept of Blind Likes.

NOTE :- This post is taken from my own blog BitterMarshmellos. This is my best post so far on my blog. A lot of people shared their opinions and point of views regarding Blind Likes. I want the same here. So please share your opinion in the comments after reading it. πŸ™πŸ™β€.

Hii Everyone.

I hope all are doing great and enjoying their blogging journey. Well, today I’m gonna discuss a thing related to blogging and bloggers. I titled this thing as “Blind Likes”.

How many of you believe that the concept of Blind Likes exists ?…….

I think a lot of people. For those who still don’t know what I am talking about is that I am talking about the blind likes you receive on your posts which are dropped by the readers who do not actually read your posts but to get your attention they do so.

I receive so many. I mean 8 or 9 likes out of 10 are fake on average. Probably you too.

BUUTTT,

WHO DO THIS & WHY DO THIS?????????……… 😣

We… πŸ™‹πŸ™‹

THAT’S RIGHT. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘. YOU DO THIS…..YOU πŸ™…

WHO IS READING THIS……..

Okay, keeping it normal.

Yeah, we do this. The bloggers. But not all. But most of. Serious readers actually read the posts then like and comment. But the bloggers who are actually here to build a website and planning for monetization in future, normally do this.

WHY?? 😟😟

Do you agree that we all are busy in our lives ??…

May be yes. So the bloggers who are planning to earn something from blogging do not have enough time as they not only handle their blog, they also have a lot of other stuff to do including home affairs, Studies, jobs, routine etc. They read very few posts seriously. So they use the blind likes to get people’s attention and follow maximum websites as much as they can. They also have to comment on the others’ posts. They have to search for the different different ideas. Blah Blah Blah!!!!… 😱😱

It’s normal actually. When I started this blog. After writing two or three posts, I realized quickly that this concept exists. I mean people are just want to increase the traffic. Nobody is reading what we post. But later I found some serious readers on my blog so I kept myself on the track. Then I decided that someday I will write a post on this. So here I am today !! πŸ˜„πŸ˜„

Sometimes, serious readers too use this as they also want to reach the bigger audience. So it’s absolutely okay in my opinion.

The question is, Is this concept good or bad ?

What do you think ??

Let me know please in the comments.

I know I will receive Blind Likes on this post too. So here’s a thing you have to follow :

PLEASE DO NOT LIKE THIS POST. JUST COMMENT. OR I WILL CONSIDER THAT YOU BLINDLY LIKED MY POST πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰. If you don’t wanna comment, just simply read and leave. Okay!!?…

Let’s see how many Blind Likes I have got.

Okay, so give your opinion.

Good luck πŸ‘

  7. I read it and had to click like because I totally do stuff I’m told not to do. I even considered not commenting at all to troll you, but saw there are heaps more likes than comments so thought better of it.
I agree the concept exists because I experience it. But at the same time its easier to “like” because it’s a really easy way of showing someone you support their message or you like their post or something.
I find it very easy to comment because I don’t know how to not talk, basically. Lol but I also know people who only click like because they don’t really have anything to contribute or say… but they completely read the post anyway! You know?
It’s frustrating but that’s just human nature anyway. In your daily interactions, how often do we speak honestly and truthfully to people? “Hi how are you?” “I’m good”… really? Or is it just easier to say that then to have to actually do anything about it.

    1. The things you mentioned,
      I completely agree with…..
Of Course, It’s an easy way to show support and sometimes we have nothing to say even we read the complete post carefully. I experienced this also….
In this post, I just showed up the Negative side of the likes, so named ‘Blind Likes’.
Suppose, If you come to know that whatever you’re posting on the blog, nobody’s actually reading but dropping likes. Obviously, It hurts any writer……
      That’s what it is about…..
I really thankful to you for your comment and spending time on this post……..
Thank you so much for this support.. πŸ™‚β€

      1. Yeah I totally feel you. I need audience engagement because without an audience.. I have no idea what I’m doing. So I keep flitting and flipping and flopping and forgetting. Just wildly flailing my fingers into phonetic forms… like I just talk my thoughts and twist my tongue… pretty much for perpetuity.
I have no idea what I do or say or write or mean half the time because I’m just spinning and twirling my metaphorical madness into pretty patterns and webs which make me smile.
I just like to be part of stuff… But I just as I inspire others, so quickly I am forgotten and tossed aside. I don’t mind as that’s just.. my shit.. my whole life… But it’s nice to be acknowledged. So I don’t have to keep thinking that I did something wrong… hell hath no fury like a woman scorned? I’m not furious… only forlorn. Forgotten. and ever more faded…
Such is the way of the world. What it means to exist. Which fucking sucks.
Le sigh. Look how long this comment is! Haha. Oh oh and btw. Why have you called yourself dumber boy? I am reminded of Megara and Heracles.

        Liked by 1 person

      2. The comment is close to a standard post in length…😁😁…..
Of Course it’s not boring but interesting to read as you told the personal experience…….
        Well,
        Dumberboy,
Because According to the people living around me, I am dumb and can’t run my life on my own……
        That’s why I call myself the ‘dumberboy’…
        πŸ˜‰
        Oh wait..
Who are Megara and Heracles ??..

      3. They are a couple from Greek myth. You may have heard if Hercules, that’s just the Roman name. Megara was his wife.
Who calls you dumb? What makes them say you can’t run your own life?

      11. Hahahaha. I love learning about people and listening to their stories. It’s nice to share and feel connected to people. Because it’s really sad how quickly people dismiss others in life… and thus, look as people flock to be heard and recognised on the internet! Where they can shed their faces and names and just be free to be themselves

  8. Many reasons for people to read. I need to read. Make me want to write. Sometime, if something doesn’t suit my taste. I won’t read. Writing. If seeking popularity. Not fun. Write to create and to entertain.

  9. Blind likes have always discouraged me as a writer, but yes, they do serve as an advertising gimmick for those looking to earn from their site or as a form of convenience for those who are starved of time. I think it’s both a good thing and a bad one – a necessary evil of sorts for bloggers looking to grow their sites

    Liked by 1 person

    1. Yeah, that’s absolutely right…..
Suppose If someone don’t have any other business to do but wants to grow the website and earn from there, then blind likes wouldn’t be bad for him. Rather, it’s a time saving tool….

  11. I’ve done blind liking, and it’s not to increase traffic flow. Sometimes, this is my only way to express I’m showing support, I’ve stopped by, and left a quick hello. None of us have enough time in our lives to read every single post, in its entirety, of every single blogger we follow. It’s not realistic, nor humanly possible.

    Liked by 3 people

    1. Totally agree. My blog isn’t monetized and hardly anyone clicks on my book links. I like to be supportive ~ when following 700+ blogs I can’t read every post in the feed. I know i get blind likes & it doesn’t bother me at all. Comments are great of course too!

  12. I am pretty new to blogging but I was wondering about this. I post a blog and two seconds later someone has liked it. I mean, seriously, there is no way they read it! It’s similar to the bots on Instagram I guess that Follow, like a couple posts, drop a generic (often inane) comment and then unfollow. What a sad life some people lead! lol

Yeah people like the posts or sometimes comment without reading the post, but WordPress is not like Instagram where people follow unfollow you….It’s way better than Instagram…..
Instagram is one of the worst networking according to my opinion…

Haha, I blind liked this ages ago, for me it’s just polite, then when I have time I troll through past posts of people and read them as in this case πŸ˜€ I get a lot of blind likes, it’s okay, what I don’t like are people who follow without liking anything first or ever, I find that really strange 😜
