The re-union

She stood at the door,

looking at its glass panels,

scared of knocking,

lest she break something.

She stood at the door,

calming her insides,

her heart ashaking,

her knuckles approaching.

She stood at the door,

seeing distortions,

is that him?

or am I my mind losing?

She stood at the door,

knob slowly aturning,

soft iridescent orbs,

to her sight foreboding.

She stood before him,

breathing momentarily forgotten,

heart fleetingly pounding,

eyes impatiently memorizing.

He stood at his door,

an image of his enchantress unfolding,

disbelief marring his visage,

His love! How hard had he travelled searching?!

They stood at the door,

unfathomed chemistry igniting,

lost souls found at last,

now inside and a whisper of a new beginning.

  1. Omg that is so… so… I can’t even say. I’m too embarrassed… lol. It’s so very beautiful.
